Javascripts
The javascripts used on this site are needed for the RSS feeds and euthanasia counter displayed throughout these pages. The current scripts are supplied by the initiating sites. To the best of my knowledge there is no evil originating from them. I have been using the newsfeed from freshcontent.net and the euthanasia counter from Pet-Abuse.com for some time now while working on these pages. My computer seems to be okay (but I do have my firewall, antivirus programs, and site advisor running).

The cat newsfeed script can be viewed and/or downloaded from freshcontent.net. We chose news updates about cats, but the free news feeds directory has many catagories to choose from, even 'Freebies'.
The euthanasia counter can be found and copied from Pet-Abuse.com, more specifically at the page Pet-Abuse.com: Euthanasia Counter.
Accessibility issues
As of this writing (early April 2006), some effort has been made to create a site which is accessible to as many users as possible, but I (the webmaster) have much to learn about accessibility issues. The more I learn, the more I will try to amend my pages to be compliant.
My primary sources at this time are links from my Web Accessibility Toolbar, provided by the Accessible Information Solutions (AIS) team of Vision Australia, which include "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0".
